Lizlis — Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 17, 2025 • Last updated: December 25, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Excellia, LLC ("Lizlis," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and safeguards information in connection with our AI character chat service, websites, mobile apps, and related services (the "Service").
Plain-English summary
We collect account details and usage data to run and improve Lizlis. Your chat content goes to our servers and to third-party AI providers solely to generate responses and for safety. You can request access or deletion. We don't sell personal data. If you delete your account or delete a character you created, we remove your profile from it. However, if other users already used that character in their chats, they may continue to see and use it without your identity attached.
1) Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account & Identity Data.
Email address, display name, and authentication identifiers provided by our authentication provider (for example, Firebase Authentication). We do not store passwords.
Content & Metadata.
Prompts, chats, images or uploads, characters you create, and related timestamps, device or IP information, language, and basic event logs.
Usage & Device Data.
Interactions, feature use, approximate location (derived from IP), device or browser type, and basic technical data.
Payment Data (if applicable).
Billing details handled by our processor (for example, Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers.
Support & Communications.
Messages you send us (email, in-app forms) and our correspondence.
2) How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service (including authentication, content rendering, and backup);
- Process prompts and generate AI responses;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or policy violations;
- Personalize features (for example, recent chats or language settings);
- Analyze usage to improve performance and reliability;
- Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support;
- Maintain the continuity of other users' chats and interactions that include content you previously created, even if your account is later deleted or anonymized;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3) AI/LLM Processing & Model Training
No model training.
We do not use your personal data or chat content to train any machine-learning models.
Third-party processors.
We send your prompts, chats, and necessary metadata to third-party AI providers only to generate responses. We configure available no-training or no-retention settings and contractually require providers not to use your content to train their models. If a provider cannot honor these settings, we will avoid sending personal data or will not use that provider.
4) Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use essential cookies or local storage for authentication, security, and basic functionality. You can control cookies via your browser settings; the Service may not function correctly without essential cookies.
5) Sharing Your Information
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers (hosting or CDN, AI model providers, analytics, email delivery, payment processors) under contracts requiring appropriate safeguards;
- Affiliates for operations consistent with this Policy;
- Legal and safety authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety;
- Business transfers (for example, merger or acquisition) where your data may be transferred subject to this Policy.
6) Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (for example, security or legal compliance). You may request deletion; some logs or backups may persist for a limited period.
User-Generated Content. If you delete User Content (for example, a character, prompt, or image), or if you delete your account, we may remove or anonymize your account's association with that content. However, copies of that content may continue to exist within the Service where it already forms part of other users' chats or saved experiences. This is necessary so that other users' conversations and app functionality continue to work as expected. We do not retroactively remove such content from other users' experiences unless required by law or for safety reasons.
7) Your Rights & Choices
Access, deletion, or portability.
You can request a copy or deletion of your personal data.
Deletion limits for shared content. If you request deletion of your account or User Content, we will delete or anonymize your personal data associated with that content. However, content you created may continue to exist in other users' chats or saved experiences where it already appeared, in a way that no longer identifies you.
Opt-out of marketing.
We do not send promotional or marketing emails. If this changes in the future, we will provide clear opt-out mechanisms.
Account controls.
You may edit profile details. We do not provide user-facing controls for model training because we do not use user content to train models.
California (CCPA/CPRA) Notice.
We disclose the categories of personal information described above for business purposes. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct, and limit certain uses; to exercise rights, contact [email protected].
EEA or UK Data Protection.
Controller. Excellia, LLC is the controller of personal data processed through the Service.
Legal bases. We process data based on performance of a contract (to provide the Service), legitimate interests (security or improvement), consent (where required, such as certain cookies or marketing), and legal obligation.
International transfers. Where data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards (for example, Standard Contractual Clauses) with our vendors.
Rights. You have rights to access, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children's Privacy.
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or higher ages where required by local law). If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.
8) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data. However, no system is 100% secure.
9) Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may link to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
10) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, in-app notice or email). Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
